Iian let me know about "Gumdrop" a kids book series about a 1926 Clifton Tourer 12/4

Val Biro an illustrator wrote a series of popular childrens books about the vintage Austin "Gumdrop" he owned.

In the first four books Gumdrop suffers various indignities before being rescued and restored (at least twice),
These books contain a lot of details including cutaway drawings of the car. They are really quite charming and provide an interesting glimpse of the trendy early sixties vintage car scene

Thanks Iian!

well equipped and good looking little red wagons

headlights, pinstriping, streched chassis, slicks and a utility box

I noticed the oilpan and asked why it was mounted under the wagon

it's for loading with ice and drink containers, or today like this shows, a cooler in back and snacks in front, topped with Dynamat to cushion and insulate... under a foam cushion

Another reason to buy Mopar Muscle, this story on 17 yr old who got this 383 4 speed numbers matching 55thou, 1970 Lemon Twist original mile 'Cuda!

Jan 2012 issue has the story of Adam Blankenship, and his mopar collecting dad who promised him the car that had been sitting in the collection for 10 years if he got good grades in High School. That is pretty damn cool!

Or read about it online http://www.moparmusclemagazine.com/featuredvehicles/e_body/mopp_1201_1970_383_plymouth_cuda_lemon_aided/index.html
