Ramona Cuda rollover dui news update

It was a real Hemi Cuda, a 1970 Hemi Cuda, the thread over at Moparts says it had a square tube rollcage. http://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Number=6924721

The back seat passenger, according to the CHP,  was 52-year-old Mark Andrew Jones of Ramona...  not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the car, through the back window, and the car rolled over him and then rolled off him before stopping upside down.

 then after the game, a "Come check out my car!" So they went to Harold's and got the Hemi Cuda, and  took off south on 7th and fishtailed at last 4 times before making the corner at Telford -7th - Ashley and then floored it again to head South on the straight Ashley road when he saw the girl unloading the horse from a trailer, swerved to avoid the girl and horse and rolled the car long, far, and high, hitting branches from the tree between Ashley rd and the Morgans half circle driveway at the bottom of the below Google Map

the people who own the property the car came to a roll over stop in... , Dennis and Linda Morgan, possibly are looking to blame the car, the road, and the speed limit, or are looking to waste the county supervisors time chasing these scapegoats instead of drinking and driving "Morgan also told 10News he hopes law enforcement and San Diego County Supervisor Dianne Jacob will now take a serious look at these roads to prevent future crashes like this one."  the News 8 reporter states that Dennis wants the sped limit lowered from 45 to 35. I think the reporter misquotes the Morgans, but who knows... watch the video and decide for yourself on that... I can't nail it down there.
"Morgan said he hoped county supervisors would take steps to make the road safer and prevent future accidents like this one."

luxury sports car enthusiasts in Japan ended in an expensive freeway pileup - smashing a stunning eight Ferraris, a Lamborghini and two Mercedes.

Police say they believe the accident on the Chugoku Expressway in southwestern Japan,  Sunday,  was touched off when the driver of one of the Ferraris tried to change lanes and hit the median barrier. He spun across the freeway, and the other cars collided while trying to avoid hitting his car.

According to The Associated Press, 10 of the people involved in the wreck received treatment for minor injuries.

News reports quoted eyewitnesses as saying that at the time of the accident, the procession appeared to be traveling at 85 to 100 miles per hour, well over the speed limit of 60.

Bloomberg News quoted a traffic official, Mitsuyoshi Isejima, as saying that the driver suspected of causing the pileup, a 60-year-old self-employed man, could face up to three months in prison or a fine of 100,000 yen, about $1,300.

Somewhere an insurance rep is cringing.

This isn't to get blood for the club, it's because when the club was in need last year, the Red Cross was there for them.

What happened?

Four bikers died in a brutal accident, five others were hospitalized. Those who lived have now lost their friends, and those who died left behind kids, brothers and sisters, parents and friends. They were members of the Saddle Tramps Motorcycle Club. It was the clubs 10th anniversary ride.


The club members were riding about 80 miles East of San Diego when a Gold Honda Accord came up from behind them and tried to pass them . Another car was in the oncoming lane, the driver tried to avoid the Honda by swerving off to his right, he lost control when overcorrecting when he hit the shoulder on his side of the road and crashed with the group of motorcycles. The driver of the Accord fled the scene, and were never found

I haven't seen all of the movies that have these chases, but I have seen most and the variety of movies with a car chase is quite broad... from Sci Fi like the Matrix Reloaded, to old cop movies that were normal investigation style detectives like The French Connection... I can't remember any part of the story line of the French Connection, just Gene and that car chase scene, but Chris has the scoop on what was really going on with the chase scene, and I've never learned this stuff before, it's all news to me!

Bad Boys (Will Smith) had the best collection of muscle cars in a single scene, 70 Superbee, Firebird, Yenko Duece, 67? Chevelle, 76? Trans Am, and that was just until the gun fight.... the chase reconvened with the bad guys dropping cars off a transporter one at a time. Best scene is at the top of Chris' list

Those who lived have now lost their friends, and those who died left behind kids, brothers and sisters, parents and friends. They were members of the Saddle Tramps Motorcycle Club. It was the clubs 10th anniversary ride.

Two memorial services are planned for this weekend, and several fundraising events are in the works to help the affected families, one is tomorrow (Saturday Nov 20th) at San Diego Harley, on the East side of freeway 163 between Clairemont and Balboa Avenue

Saturday: Blood drive in the name of the injured survivors, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., San Diego Harley-Davidson, 5600 Kearny Mesa Road.

Nov. 28: Pat & Oscar’s in Parkway Plaza, El Cajon, 2 to 9 p.m. Twenty percent of sales will be donated to a Heath family trust.

Dec. 4: Cut-a-thon at Studio B salon, 1347 Tavern Road, Alpine.

This ruined someone's day.

I wish the story of what the car was doing on a transporter was with the photo, and what caused it to go over the front end, but the world may never get closure on this mystery. Damn shame it happens and wrecks a cool car and a group of people's day. The owner, the driver, the insurance guy, and the potential new owner if there was one.
